The Star auger filling machine (models Star 100 and Star 200) from WeighPack Systems Inc. is designed to fill a variety of granular and powdered products. Equipped with a servo-drive motor and PLC function, the Star auger features increased accuracy, improved response time and a reduction of electrical interference when coupled with auxiliary packaging equipment, according to the company. The Star auger automatically adjusts the auger screw to stabilize weight deviations. According to WeighPack, the Star auger can run at speeds of up to 80 cycles per minute with a filling weight of up to 1,000g, depending on the model.
