BioCell Technology offers Collagen II as a food additive that promotes healthy joints and skin. The company says Collagen II received Generally Recognized as Safe approval from an independent panel. The product is a naturally-occurring matrix containing collagen type II, chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronic acid, which are reduced to highly-bioavailable, low molecular weight forms due to a hydrolysis process, according to BioCell.
