    WATT, Extru-Tech discuss petfood safety on Fox Business

    The Fox Business show "Business Day with Terry Bradshaw" aired a segment on petfood safety June 18, in which Scott Krebs of Extru-Tech and Greg Watt of WATT Publishing Co. discuss the petfood industry and safety initiatives.

    • Video is well done. While the manufacturing side has made improvements so has the packaging side. Barrier packaging, such as stand up pouches, that is used extensively to package pet food is made with layers of barrier film laminated together that not only protects the contents but can keep it fresher for longer. Assuring that the innermost liner (which comes in contact with the product) is made using only virgin grade low density or linear low density polyethylene is critical.
