Thayer Scale's Force Measurement Suspension System technology is designed for high sensitivity in petfood applications. The technology is an interposed active structure, consisting of one or more articulated members, placed between the load receptor and a load cell. Feeder and weigh hopper “dead load” are mass-counterbalanced so that only material weight is measured. Configurations consist of: various constant sensitivity platforms (flexure and cable scales), graded sensitivity weighbridges (conveyor belt scales) and lateral torque transmitting devices (model "D").
