Central Garden & Pet Company announces 2009 financials

Central Garden & Pet Company recently filed its annual report for the period ending September 26. The company has a market cap of US$701.7 million, and its shares were traded at about US$10.06. It had an annual average earning growth of 5.9% over the past 10 years.

As of March 28, the aggregate market value of the company's common stock, class A common stock and class B stock held by non-affiliates of the registrant was approximately US$142, 917,000, US$343,283,000 and US$50,000, respectively.

In fiscal 2009, consolidated net sales were US$1.6 billion, and pet products accounted for approximately US$833 million.

Income from operations was US$126 million, and pet products accounted for US$102.2 million.

Central Garden & Pet is a pet and lawn and garden supplier.
