The Pet Industry Distributors Association elected its 2011 officers and directors during the organization's 43rd Management Conference and Annual Meeting in Coronado, California, USA.
At the conference, held January 26-29, PIDA members elected Fred Schober, chief operating officer of Phillips Feed & Pet Supply, as chairman. Officers elected include Rob Chouinard as first vice chairman, Perry Parks as second vice chairman, and Randy Reber as secretary and treasurer. Immediate past chairman Bob Merar remains on the board.
PIDA also elected two new directors, each to a three-year term: Mark Smith of Frontier Distributing and Mike Copeland of Summit Pet Products Distributor. Directors remaining on the board are Scott Rath of Central Garden & Pet Supply, Robert Johnson of Pet Food Wholesale, and Danny Selman of Lone Star Pet Supply.
