A petfood manufacturing facility for Champion Petfoods recently caught fire in Morinville, Alberta, Canada.
The fire damaged a dryer at the petfood plant, but no employees were injured. According to a report, work is continuing as scheduled at the facility, though it could take up to 14 weeks for the new dryer to be installed.
New shelter data casts doubt on whether the pet population and pet ownership are truly growing.
While the pandemic caused unprecedented suffering worldwide in 2020, the disruptions to dogs, cats and other pets adoption numbers may normalize in 2021.
