Watch on demand to learn how a specific yeast can be an effective, safe, and well-tolerated probiotic in dog dry food.
Digestive efficacy is a ‘do or die’ quality for pet foods. Among the many solutions available to manufacturers, probiotics offer the best value-added benefits, although their use is limited by constraints linked to extrusion processing. Now, thanks to their expertise as a primary producer, collaboration with gut health experts, unique coating processes, and extensive animal trials, Phileo by Lesaffre can demonstrate how its specifically selected and processed Saccharomyces Cerevisiae strain (Actisaf SC50 Pet) can be used to create dry food with 18 months high-quality shelf life. This is an advance that will provide substantial gut health benefits to dogs, and much more. Featured speakers include Cécile Sampsonis, R&D Manager for Product Formulation at Phileo by Lesaffre, and Dr. Jan Suchodolski, Professor and Associate Director of the Gastrointestinal Laboratory at Texas A&M University.
