The American Feed Industry Association will hold its first-ever Import & Export Seminar at the Arlington Court Suites Hotel in Arlington, Virginia, Sept. 27-28, 2010. The event is aimed at feed, ingredient and petfood professionals responsible for the imports or exports of agricultural products.

Because the process isn't straightforward, AFIA has developed this educational program to provide details about available resources and what to do in specific scenarios. Regional trade updates and a question-and-answer session are also scheduled.

Speakers will be from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (Executive Office of the President), the Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the Foreign Agricultural Service and the Food and Drug Administration. The experts will educate attendees on options for completing regulatory trade requirements for feed, ingredients and petfoods.

Registration forms will be available online beginning May 15 at . Due to hotel constraints, space is limited so early registration is suggested. Hotel reservations should be made directly with the Arlington Court Suites Hotel at (703)524-4000. The AFIA room rate is $169 per night.
