The International Pet Conference will be held in Budapest, Hungary on October 9–10, 2018. The conference will discuss the situation that trade and industry will have to adapt to in the next few years.

Economists, management consultants and also sector experts assume that the future is digital in the pet supplies business. How can pet product retailers maintain their market position in such a business landscape? What opportunities exist for manufacturers of branded goods to position themselves better and with greater customer orientation in a globalized world?

International speakers such as Andrea Skersies (Chief Marketing Officer, Zooplus AG), Torsten Toeller (founder, proprietor and Chairman, Fressnapf) Bernard Meunier (CEO, Nestlé Purina PetCare Europe, Middle East, North Africa) and Dušan Plaček (proprietor and CEO, Plaček Group) will talk about digital strategies and current trends.

The international trade journal PET worldwide from Dähne Verlag and Management Forum of the Handelsblatt Media Group have been jointly organizing this event for over ten years. More than 170 delegates are expected to attend the International Pet Conference in Budapest.

In addition to an extensive program of presentations, the conference offers all participants a platform for international networking.

A highlight of the event will be the presentation of the “Pet Personality of the Year” award. The award is given in recognition of a person whose work has advanced the pet supplies sector and has provided a fresh impetus.
