Petco will celebrate National Pet Adoption month by teaming up with petfood company sponsor Merrick Pet Care to host National Adoption Weekend on June 11 and 12.
The pet adoption events will provide animal lovers with the chance to meet adoptable pets, learn about area animal adoption groups and inquire about caring for a new pet. Those who adopt a pet from Petco during the National Adoption Weekend will receive a free, small bag of Merrick cat or dog food as well as a free 16-pound jug of Petco cat litter for those who adopt a cat.
The adoption events will take place at Petco stores around the US. Those interested in attending the adoption events should visit Petco's website for a list of store locations and hours.
