Treatibles, a provider of hemp sourced phytocannabinoid rich (PCR) chews, oils and gel caps for pets, is gearing up for the SuperZoo 2017 pet product exhibit. This year’s tradeshow will be held Tuesday, July 25 – Thursday, July 27 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Treatibles is partnering with Villalobos Rescue Center to introduce Tater’s Sweet Potato Totsa new grain free chew that will benefit the New Orleans-based Rescue. One dollar from each bag sold will be donated to help cover veterinary expenses at Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Villalobos Rescue Center is a rescue, rehabilitation and placement facility for abused and abandoned Pit Bulls and other breeds. On any given day, Villalobos cares for approximately 300 dogs, and the average yearly veterinary cost is US$500 thousand.

The official launch will take place at SuperZoo during a press conference scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26 at booth #1107. In addition to Tater’s Sweet Potato Tots, Treatibles will be introducing the company’s full line of grain free chews with flavors including Blueberry, Pumpkin, and Turkey.

The event will feature pitbull Tater Tot of Villalobos Rescue Center, his owner Mariah Harmony and Treatibles CEO and Founder, Julianna Carella. Mariah, one of the family members running the rescue, adopted Tater when he first arrived at Villalobos in 2010. Tater had physical and mental pain, possibly as a result of unethical breeding, but Treatibles chews had an almost immediate effect on his overall health. When Mariah shared Tater’s story with Julianna, Julianna proposed creating a chew in Tater’s honor to benefit the dogs of the rescue.

The science behind Treatibles chews

All Treatibles products contain phytocannabinoid rich oil extracted from whole plant medicinal grade hemp grown in the US. In addition to cannabidiol, one of the most therapeutic compounds, several other phytocannabinoids as well as terpenes are included creating what is known as the entourage effect, providing a full spectrum of benefits for pets. Treatibles products are virtually free of THC, the psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis.

Phytocannabinoids are effective in bringing balance to pets suffering from a myriad of conditions including anxiety, separation anxiety, arthritis, inflammation and pain/pain amelioration, inappetence, mobility issues, cancer, epilepsy, end of life comfort, and more.

This is because all animals have an endocannabinoid system that assists in maintaining the physiological, neurological and immunological systems of the body. If there is a deficiency of endocannabinoid production, the system’s multiple receptors will utilize the addition of phytocannabinoids to help create balance and provide support for relaxing, repairing or restoring. According to a recent customer survey, anxiety is the number one reason Treatibles is provided to pets.

Tater’s Sweet Potato Tots are expected to be available in US stores in early August 2017. The promotion is open-ended.
