Mettler Toledo manufactures x-ray inspection systems, which include the InspireX R50S 400 AFD and InspireX R50SB 200. The two systems can inspect cans at a contamination detection rate of up to 1,500 cans per minute, according to the company. The InspireX R50S 400 AFD has an adjustable focal distance and single-beam for a variety of can sizes. The InspireX R50SB 200 is a split-beam x-ray system, specially designed for smaller metal cans up to 14 ounces.
