Norwood Marking Systems' 53XL is a thermal transfer printer capable of printing GS1 barcodes for track-and-trace and electronic pedigree serialization. The 53XL can achieve a print area up to 2-by-3 1/10 inches in size and comes standard with a 29-inch bracket. The printer can mark a variety of substrates with fixed as well as variable text and graphics, which can be printed both horizontally and vertically. The system includes Norwood’s JDS5 software program.
