The Volkmann post hoists allow the conveyor to be safely raised and precisely positioned in elevated installations and lowered for easy access and cleaning without requiring workers to climb up ladders, stairs or onto mezzanines. Ideal for setting the vacuum conveyor above mixers, reactors, tanks, bulk containers and other discharge points, the post hoists can help to eliminate ergonomic, confined space entry and vapor exposure hazards for improved worker safety.
Installed with a companion pneumatic vacuum conveyor system or retrofit to upgrade existing conveyors, the post hoists are custom-engineered for each installation based on the height above the floor, distance of travel to the discharge, the weight of the powder or other bulk material and conveyor, and other factors. The line of post hoists includes fully automated, pneumatic posts hoists that raise and lower the conveyor at the push of a button, and manual post hoists that are raised and lowered using a hand crank. A choice of stationary and mobile post hoists is also offered.
The line of conveyor post hoists features stainless steel construction as standard and proprietary, quick-release brackets for easy access to the vacuum conveyor without tools. Optional 360-degree swiveling offers added convenience.
