Ross offers a multi-shaft mixer equipped with a helical ribbon agitator for top-to-bottom mixing of viscous pastes, gels and dense suspensions. Two other agitators, a sawtooth blade and a three-wing anchor, deliver high-speed dispersion and thorough product turnover. The mixer is versatile in adapting to multiple applications, fine-tuning shear intensity and heating/cooling to accurate levels, according to the company. The 150-gallon mixer is designed for full vacuum operation up to 29.5”Hg. The mixer is also rated for 3 psi internal pressure for inert gas blanketing and for accelerating product discharge through an automated 3” flush tank ball valve. Hinged Teflon scrapers mounted to the anchor agitator are contoured to match the vessel sidewall and dished-shape bottom.
