Rebecca Casey is the SVP of Marketing & Strategy for TC Transcontinental Packaging. She leads and coaches a high performing cross-functional team responsible for the execution of market and business strategy, as well as planning, implementing, and managing the overall product market strategy and branding. Ms. Casey has 24 years of experience and has held numerous positions in the chemicals and packaging industry. Rebecca has worked with many of the top Fortune 500 consumer product companies, commercializing new products, driving intuitive collaborative innovation, and identifying growth segments through the translation of consumer trends and market insights. She is passionate about identifying how a package communicates the product and brand to the consumer- and how creating the perfect packaging experience can transform the way consumers engage, shop, and buy. Rebecca also believes strongly in workplace diversity and inclusive thinking to drive results and faster change, as well as the need for continued industry focus, investment, and collaboration to create circularity for plastic packaging. She serves on the Executive Board for the Packaging Consortium as well as the PMMI Women’s Network Committee. Ms. Casey holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northern Illinois University in Marketing, and was nominated as one of the “Women Breaking the Mold” in 2019 by Plastic News.

 

Heather AcuffHeather Acuff, Ph.D. Candidate, Product Development Manager, Nulo Pet Food

Heather Acuff is a third-year Ph.D. student in Grain Science & Industry (Pet Food Science) at Kansas State University where her research focuses on the impacts of modern pet food processing on companion animal nutrition. Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science (Pre-Veterinary Science) and a master’s degree in Agriculture (Monogastric Nutrition) from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona, California. In addition to being a full-time student, Heather also works as the full-time product development manager for Nulo Pet Food (Austin, TX). During her five years with Nulo, she’s helped commercialize more than 200 pet foods, treats, and supplements.
