Briana KozlowiczDr. Briana Kozlowicz, PhD., Program Manager- Microbiome, Cargill Health Technologies

As Microbiome Program Manager for Cargill Health Technologies (CHT), Dr. Briana Kozlowicz is responsible for building a program of projects focused on delivering new products to support and maintain human and animal health through microbiome modulation. Dr. Kozlowicz works with CHT’s various species portfolio managers to identify appropriate targets for microbiome-centered solutions, and partners with Cargill Core Research & Development experts to leverage internal and external capabilities needed to succeed. Dr. Kozlowicz joined Cargill in 2010 as a member of the Biotechnology team, where she used her microbiology and molecular biology background in a variety of roles from individual contributor to project leader. In 2018 Dr. Kozlowicz moved into the Applications team in the Cargill Bioindustrials (CBI) business, where she built external customer relationships in tandem with the Business Development team as the technical tag for new products. Excited by the opportunities in the microbiome space, she joined Cargill Health Technologies in 2021. Dr. Kozlowicz has a BS in Biology from Western Michigan University, and a PhD in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Pathology from the University of Minnesota. 

 

Sharon NortonDr. Sharon A. Norton, PhD., Director of Companion Animal Research, Diamond V/Cargill Health Technologies.

As Director of Companion Animal research for Diamond V/Cargill Health Technologies (CHT), Dr. Sharon A. Norton is responsible for directing networks and processes for Diamond V as a part of CHT. She is also responsible for forming connections with leading academics, institutes, and companies to advance evidence-based thought leadership in the companion animal sector encompassing dog, cat, horse, rabbit and backyard flock programs. Dr. Norton joined Diamond V/CHT in 202. Prior to joining the organization, Dr. Norton was the Swine Technology Application Lead within the Cargill Animal Nutrition Division at Provimi North America in the Strategic Marketing and Technology group; she was responsible for development and management of external research programs. Dr. Norton has over 30 years of experience in product and program development in the pet, agricultural, and human nutrition sectors serving at the Mathile Institute for the Advancement of Human Nutrition, Proctor & Gamble, the IAMS Company, and the Wayne Feeds Division of Continental Grain. Dr. Norton earned both her BS and MS in Animal Nutrition from Virginia Polytechnic & State University. She received her PhD in Monogastric Nutrition from Oklahoma State University, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the USDA-ARS in Beltsville, Maryland.
