Reading Bakery Multi-Pass Dryer
The Reading Pretzel Multi-Pass Dryer efficiently reduces product core moistures improving overall quality and storage characteristics. Products pass along three different conveyors inside the dryer while hot air is forced through the product pile from above or below the conveyor belt. Air is heated in the penthouse, on top of the dryer, and forced through the plenums surrounding the conveyor belts. The penthouse is split into two chambers so that the two zones can be supplied with air circulated at different speeds and temperatures. The amount of moisture removed from the product is determined by the air temperature and velocity. Both of these variables can be controlled automatically during production at the operator control panel. Access doors allow operators to easily monitor the process during production, and provide easy access for maintenance and sanitation.
