Richard Headshot 90pxDr. Richard Murphy, research director at the Alltech European Bioscience Centre

Dr. Richard Murphy is the research director at the Alltech European Bioscience Centre in Dunboyne, Ireland. He received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in addition to his doctorate from University College Galway, Ireland. Murphy maintains strong links with numerous universities and research institutions and has been appointed as an adjunct professor on the faculty of science and health studies at Dublin City University and also at the School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science at University College Dublin. His current research activities are diverse and include areas such as the microbiome, pathogen control, antimicrobial resistance, trace element chelation, and organoselenium differentiation.

Kami Grandeen is the technical manager for Alltech’s North American companion animal business. She attended the University of Idaho, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science and her master’s degree in ruminant nutrition. Kami joined Alltech as a territory sales manager in 2005 and gained experience working with livestock and equine customers, as well as feed mills and retail stores. Alltech provides support at every level of the pet food industry, from formulation to research on innovative solutions to educating pet parents on how Alltech solutions help their pets. Kami credits her desire to improve the lives of all companion animals to her German Shepherd, Lizzie, who is always a willing taste-tester for any food or treat containing Alltech's nutritional solutions.
