Woofs, a UK producer of fish-based treats for dogs, offers cod skin treats to improve dental and gum hygiene.
The cod skins are procured from the European Union and then manufactured in the UK. The skins are shaped into fingers and smaller cubes and then baked. The skin becomes dry and relatively hard edged, allowing the treat to get in between the spaces of dogs’ teeth and gums. The cod skins are meant to break down tartar around the teeth. The functional treats are also made with Omega3 to support dog joints and coats. The treat are available in the form of cod cookies, cubes or fingers.
