Two new dog formulas are now available in the Taste of the Wild line up of grain-free pet food, helping pet owners satisfy their dog’s instinctual cravings and ancestral diet. Appalachian Valley and Pine Forest both contain venison as the main protein, providing dog owners an option for pets with protein sensitivities. In addition, Appalachian Valley is the first Taste of the Wild formula developed specifically for small breed dogs, offering a smaller kibble size and specialized formula just for small dogs.
Appalachian Valley offers small breed dog owners a smaller-sized Taste of the Wild kibble that will aid with chewing and digestion. The formula was developed for small breed dogs that can sometimes be finicky about their food. With higher protein and fat levels, Appalachian Valley allows these dogs to eat smaller portions and still meet their nutritional needs.
Like all other Taste of the Wild formulas, Appalachian Valley and Pine Forest are grain-free. Both formulas include legumes such as garbanzo beans and pea flour. Garbanzo beans are a great source of fiber, which helps regulate blood sugar while keeping the dog’s digestive system regular. Pea flour is made from roasted peas and helps keep blood glucose levels down. These ingredients also make the food highly palatable. Potatoes, a popular fiber alternative in grain-free foods, are not included in either formula.
Appalachian Valley is formulated for small breed adult dogs; and, Pine Forest is suitable for dogs of all life stages. The new formulas are available in 5-pound, 14-pound and 28-pound bags and can be found at Taste of the Wild retailers.
Taste of Wild formulas are made with real roasted meats and supplemented with vegetables and fruits. These grain-free formulas provide a superior taste sensation, highly digestible energy and antioxidants to support a healthy immune system.
