Pet Food Experts (PFX) will begin distributing Portland Pet Food Company’s line of human-grade dog and cat foods and treats to independent pet retailers across the Pacific Northwest and West regions starting in early May.
The addition expands PFX’s curated brand portfolio to include Portland Pet Food Company, which was founded in 2014 by Katie McCarron and is known for its limited-ingredient, gently cooked meals and treats made in the U.S.
“At Pet Food Experts, we are always seeking partners who share our passion for transparency, quality, and supporting pet health,” said Nate Benner, director of vendor development at PFX. “Portland Pet Food Company's commitment to fresh, simple ingredients and their inspiring origin story make them a natural fit for our retailers and the customers they serve.”
Portland Pet Food Company was launched after McCarron began home-cooking meals for her aging poodle, Rosie, who thrived on the diet. The brand has since grown to meet consumer demand for clean-label, minimally processed pet foods.
