Petsense by Tractor Supply, a subsidiary of Tractor Supply Co., is celebrating its 20th anniversary this September with a month-long campaign that includes nearly $1 million in donations to local animal shelters and a new partnership with K9s For Warriors.
The pet specialty retailer will launch a nationwide "round up" campaign beginning September 15 to benefit K9s For Warriors, which provides trained service dogs for veterans with PTSD and other invisible wounds of war. Customers can round up purchases to the nearest dollar at checkout through Veterans Day, November 11, with proceeds going to the organization.
"From day one, Petsense by Tractor Supply has been part of the communities we serve, helping families care for their pets and partnering with local shelters and organizations to find them the loving homes they deserve," said Neil Tenzer, senior vice president of Petsense by Tractor Supply. "As we celebrate 20 years of serving pets out here, we're proud of the impact we've made and look forward to continue building on that legacy with initiatives like our new campaign with K9s For Warriors."
The anniversary celebration includes "20 Deals for 20 Years" promotions throughout September, featuring discounts on pet food and supply brands, weekly in-store giveaways, social media contests and special events at participating locations. Some stores will also host local adoption events.
"K9s For Warriors is grateful to Petsense by Tractor Supply for standing with us in our mission to save the lives of both Veterans and rescue dogs," said Lindsay Grayson, Chief Revenue Officer at K9s For Warriors. "Thanks to the Tractor Supply Foundation's generous commitment over the last two years, more than seven Service Dogs found their purpose in saving Veteran's lives – transforming not only the Veterans' lives, but their families too. With Petsense by Tractor Supply's unwavering support, we will continue to save lives at both ends of the leash."
