Euromonitor International ranks Delectables top wet cat treat brand

Delectables has been named the No. 1 wet cat treat brand in the world by retail value sales in 2025, according to custom research conducted by market intelligence firm Euromonitor International from December 2025 to February 2026.

Made by Hartz, the brand, now in its second decade, offers a product portfolio that includes Delectables Squeeze Up, Delectables Lickable Spoon and Delectables Lickable Treat. The lines span six textures, life-stage formulations for kittens, adults and seniors, and non-seafood and catnip varieties.

Euromonitor International credits the brand with driving growth in the U.S. wet cat treat segment, which now accounts for approximately 45% of overall cat treat sales. Delectables recently expanded into Mexico and Australia.

According to Euromonitor International, the U.S. cat treat market is projected to grow from approximately $1.1 billion to $1.6 billion by 2030. According to the company, a record of approximately 49 million U.S. households own a cat, with multi-cat households on the rise. Millennials make up the largest share of cat owners, while Gen Z is the fastest growing.

The ranking follows the brand's "Always Up For a Delectables Squeeze Up" contest, which invited cat owners to submit videos of their cats reaching for the product. 

Grand prize winners received a one-year supply of Delectables treats and a feature in the latest Delectables Squeeze Up commercial. The campaign generated more than 200 pieces of user-generated content, more than 9 million organic influencer views and a potential reach of more than 8 million. The company said additional phases of the campaign are in development.
