Petco products not affected by vitamin D pet food recall

In light of the FDA's Dec. 3 alert on multiple dry dog food recalls due to elevated and potentially toxic levels of vitamin D, Petco has confirmed that it does not carry any of the brands listed in the current recall; no Petco products are affected.

F.D.A. scientists have evaluated samples of some of these products, and state and private lab test results indicate that the food contained as much as approximately 70 times the intended amount of vitamin D.
