Private-label petfood sales in the UK are growing rapidly, according to a report from Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) that quotes the market research institute IRI. According to the report, retailer brand sales have risen 6.5 percent, compared with only a 2.8 percent increase in the entire category.

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of increased photoperiod (longer days) on voluntary physical activity levels, resting metabolic rate, food intake required to maintain body weight, and fasting serum leptin and ghrelin concentrations in adult cats.
