Royal Canin will partner with comedian Heather McMahan for the 2024 AKC National Championship. The collaboration aims to engage dog lovers with a new virtual Viewer’s Choice Awards, allowing participants to learn more about the judging criteria for Best in Show and interact with the competition.
McMahan, known for her comedy special Breadwinner and upcoming tour, expressed her enthusiasm for the event. “With two French Bulldogs in my house, Rigatoni and Macaroni, I like to give them the best of the best, especially when it comes to their food, which is why partnering with Royal Canin was an 'absolutely yes,'” she said. “I could not be more excited to head to the AKC National Championship and see these dogs doing the most to be at the top of their game. All my fellow dog lovers out there need to kick up their feet and join me in watching the show — you won’t want to miss this.”
The Viewer’s Choice Awards will allow participants to vote on competing dogs in real-time, compare their scores with others, and track their judging accuracy on a live leaderboard. McMahan will serve as a virtual host, offering live commentary and insights from the event.
