Petcurean unveils interactive 'WonderWall' at SuperZoo

At SuperZoo 2012, premium brand dog and cat food maker Petcurean unveiled the "WonderWall," an interactive photo mosaic designed to engage the pet tradeshow's attendees. Designed by Subplot Design Inc., the 12-food high WonderWall was comprised of two 80-inch LCD screens and a 16-foot product shelf that simulated an in-store planogram.

Petfood manufacturer C&D Foods acquires Arovit

Petfood manufacturer C&D Foods Group recently acquired Danish private-label company Arovit Acquisitions for an undisclosed amount. The deal would give the combined petfood company turnover of about €320 million (US$412.9 million) in 2012, according to Philip Reynolds, C&D Foods CEO.

FDA releases guidelines on therapeutic petfood labeling, distribution

The US Food and Drug Administration recently released draft guidelines on how it plans to regulate compliance with federal requirements for the labeling and distribution of therapeutic dog and cat foods. The guides will serve to enforce the animal drug provisions of the federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, according to FDA.
