Bramble partners with Lewis Hamilton and his dog, Roscoe

Bramble, a vet-formulated, plant-based fresh food for dogs, has announced its newest investor: seven-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton is joined by his bulldog, Roscoe, who will become the brand's Chief Taste Officer.

Soon after, he said Roscoe showed significant health improvements including increased energy, a shinier coat, and healthier skin, ultimately leading Hamilton to seek out a vegan dog food brand and discover Bramble. Dog health and longevity is central to the brand’s identity, which is named Bramble after the once longest-living dog that followed a fresh, vegan diet. 

“This extends beyond a traditional investment for me, as this is a space I care deeply about and am excited to support," said Hamilton. "As someone who’s continuously looking to improve my health and find the right food to keep my energy levels up, I think we should look to do the same for our pets, and I want to give Roscoe the best ingredients to keep him healthy and active. Bramble ticked all the boxes for me."

Founded in 2021, Bramble said it provides superior quality, veterinary-formulated, plant-based food without sacrificing the meaty taste and enjoyment dogs’ deserve. Amanda Rolat, founder and CEO of Bramble, said she created Bramble when she was unable to find a pet food that aligned with her values about health, sustainability, and animal welfare.

According to the company, Bramble’s high-protein meals are designed to ensure dogs receive a complete and balanced diet that exceeds Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) standards. A first-of-its-kind independent feeding trial at the University of Illinois offered results that showed dogs who were fed Bramble had significantly lower cholesterol and triglycerides, as well as healthier microbiomes.

As omnivores, dogs are able to get their nutrients from a plant-based diet if formulated correctly.  Bramble offers two premium dog food options: The Cowbell and The Roost. With no preservatives or chemicals, Bramble carefully sources its ingredients in the U.S. and gently cooks all recipes in small batches before freezing to ensure maximum nutrition.
