UK-based pet health company Omni has announced an unusual recruitment drive, seeking a dedicated dog owner to serve as the company's first "Dog Breath Inspector" for a 12-week product evaluation study.

The position offers £9,000 (US$11,250) compensation to test Omni's new Fresh Breath supplement by conducting daily breath assessments on their own dog. The successful candidate will document changes in odor intensity, improvement indicators, and overall oral health throughout the three-month testing period.

The testing protocol requires daily monitoring and documentation of the supplement's effects in a home environment, providing real-world efficacy data for the veterinary-formulated product.

"We're looking for someone who's genuinely curious about improving their dog's health and not afraid to get their nose involved," said Dr. Guy Sandelowsky, veterinarian and Omni co-founder. "We believe this supplement can make a big difference, and we're backing that belief by paying someone to put it to the test. It's a weird job, yes, but an important one."

The role requires UK residency, minimum age of 18, ownership of a dog exhibiting poor breath odor, and willingness to document the testing process through online updates.
