For saving her family's life in December 2008, Miley has been honored as the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles's winner of the 27th Annual National Hero Dog Award, according to a Natura Pet Products press release.
The one-year-old dog saved the Pitts family when she woke her owners to warn them of carbon monoxide poisoning.
In honor of Miley's courage and award, Natura is sponsoring the Terrier mix from Van Buren, Arkansas, USA, with one year of free California Natural dog food.
