Petfood Forum Europe 2026 is calling for abstracts for noncommercial oral presentations at its May 11 conference in Nuremberg, Germany. The one-day event, co-located with Interzoo 2026 (May 12-15) at the Nuremberg Messe, will feature industry experts sharing insights on the future of pet food.
The conference serves as a critical networking hub for the European and global pet food industry, providing opportunities to share new ideas, conduct business deals and develop professional connections in a small group setting before the larger Interzoo trade show.
Potential speakers are invited to submit abstracts on topics including companion animal nutrition research, novel ingredients, European market data and trends, macroeconomic factors, new pet food formats and technologies, retail and e-commerce developments, marketing strategies including social media, product development techniques, European regulatory updates, production technologies, packaging innovations, artificial intelligence applications, food safety research and sustainability initiatives.
An advisory board of pet food industry experts will evaluate submissions based on topic relevance, technical or scientific level, originality and innovative content, speaker expertise, lack of commercialization, and previous speaking experience. Each submission is evaluated individually and in relation to other papers received, with the goal of presenting a balanced program of timely topics covering areas of high industry importance.
Abstracts must be written in English and clearly explain the topic's uniqueness or new information basis. The potential speaker's expertise and public speaking experience must also be demonstrated. Commercial abstracts or previously published/presented material will not be considered, though similar topics with significant new information may be accepted.
Companies and organizations are limited to two submissions maximum. Speakers must confirm their ability to attend the May 11 conference date.
