Petfood Forum is landing in Latin America to expand coverage of one of the largest pet markets in the world. The new portal focuses on native articles and an exclusive newsletter for professionals in the Brazilian pet food sector. Petfood Industry and WATT Global Media, the organizers of the leading global conference and exhibition for the pet food industry, are arriving in Brazil with a news portal.
Launched in April, Petfood Forum Brazil – petfoodforumbrasil.com – aims to serve the market as the most complete and comprehensive source of information for pet industry professionals in the country.
“For many years, we have served the Brazilian market with specialized content in English. Now, we will speak the same language as the world's third-largest pet market, with original content in Portuguese,” said Steve Akins, executive vice president of global petfood and events at WATT Global Media.
The initiative aims to exclusively offer educational and informative content on ingredient technologies for feed and treats, formulation, processing, packaging, marketing, consumer behavior and data from the main companies in the pet food sector in Brazil. In addition, industry professionals will also have access to an exclusive newsletter featuring news and trends in the Brazilian pet food market.
“The objective is to meet the growing demand of the Brazilian market for information that drives the pet food business both locally and globally,” said Akins.
Petfood Forum Brazil: 2025 events
For over 30 years, professionals in the global pet food industry have participated in Petfood Forum, a multi-day conference and exhibition 100% focused on all technologies that go into how pet food and treats are manufactured. It takes place annually in Kansas City, Missouri (USA). Petfood Forum also produces one-day conference editions, unique educational forums co-located at retail-focused pet fairs in Europe and Asia.
The Petfood Forum team plans to explore the feasibility of bringing a Petfood Forum 1-day conference to Brazil at some point. “We do not rule out the idea of bringing a Petfood Forum one-day conference to Brazil in the future,” affirmed Akins. This year, the Petfood Forum brand will present two exclusive pet food-focused sessions at Pet South America 2025, between August 13th and 15th, in São Paulo. Details will be available soon.
