Animal feed company Andritz recently acquired Shanghai Shende Machinery Co. Ltd., based out of China.
The majority share (80 percent) of Shanghai Shende Machinery, a provider of cost-effective animal feed and biomass technologies to the Chinese market, was purchased by the Andritz Feed & Biofuel business unit. The acquisition will help Andritz Feed & Biofuel grow its customer base and market segments in China and other Asian markets.
Shanghai Shende Machinery will operate from its plant in Shanghai, and it will be managed by Ren Shu and his team. Shende product lines, project design and aftermarket offerings will be marketed as separate brand relative to Andritz Feed & Biofuel brand product lines.
