William Lynn "Bill" Bliss, 79, founder of Bliss Industries Inc., died February 13, 2014, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.
Bliss founded Bliss Industries in 1979 with his sons after he designed his own hammermill, which he called the Eliminator.
Bliss was a longtime member of the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) and was very active in the group's Equipment Manufacturers Conference (EMC).
Bliss, was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, USA, and grew up on a farm southwest of Newkirk, Oklahoma, USA. He raised and showed calves, lambs and pigs as a member of 4-H and Future Farmers of America (FFA). He later worked for a construction company and formed Bliss Construction Company, building feed mills in several states. Many of these mills are still in operation. Bliss also was a sales representative for several companies, selling feed mill equipment.
