Whitebridge Pet Brands, LLC, a natural and minimally processed pet food company, completed the acquisition of Arthur Dogswell LLC, maker of Dogswell and Nutrisca treats and foods for dogs and cats.
Dogswell was founded in 2004 by Marco Giannini, who grew up with a German shepherd named Emily. Emily developed hip dysplasia and the unpleasant experience of giving her pills helped Marco realize the idea to add functional benefits right into pet treats to make treats that both taste good and do good. And thus, Dogswell was born.
“At Whitebridge Pet Brands, our team shares a passion for pets and the belief that natural and minimally processed nutrition positively impacts the health and happiness of dogs and cats,” said Amice. “We are very excited that Dogswell and Nutrisca will be joining Whitebridge Pet Brands’ portfolio as Dogswell functional meaty treats and Nutrisca grain- and potato-free foods are complementary to our other brands. Merging the two companies will allow us to leverage our combined structure to better service our distributors and retailers and accelerate our overall growth.”
Whitebridge Pet Brands is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Arthur Dogswell’s office is in Los Angeles, California, and Arthur Dogswell’s manufacturing facility is located in Joplin, Missouri.
Whitebridge Pet Brands, led by CEO Olivier Amice, was founded in January 2015 with the merger of pet treat manufacturer of Cloud Star and Petropics, maker of Tiki Cat and Tiki Dog.
One of the first moves after the merger was to launch the Wag More Bark Less line of treats exclusively for the pet specialty channel to complement the Cloud Star training treat line Tricky Trainers and the Cloud Star functional treat line Dynamo Dog. Their portfolio also includes Tiki Cat, Tiki Dog, Petite Cuisine, Cloud Star, Buddy Biscuits and Wag More Bark Less.
