Innovafeed renews B Corp certification with improved score

The insect ingredient manufacturer achieved a score of 118 in its 2025 recertification, up from 111 in 2022.

Innovafeed, a manufacturer of insect-based ingredients for animal and plant nutrition, has renewed its B Corp certification three years after initially receiving the designation in 2022.

The Paris, France-based company achieved an overall score of 118 in 2025, an improvement from its initial score of 111 out of 200. The recertification came during a period of industrial and commercial expansion for the company.

Bcorp EnOver the past three years, Innovafeed scaled up operations at its Nesle industrial site, and now claims to be the world's largest insect production facility. The company also said it has expanded its workforce with new training and development programs, strengthened partnerships with local communities and customers, and advanced environmental initiatives designed to reduce resource consumption, waste and overall impacts.

The 2025 audit showed progress in governance, environmental efforts and customer relations. The audit noted the "Communities" pillar reflects a transition phase the company is currently navigating.

"Being recertified as a B Corp is an important recognition of the progress achieved and the daily commitment of our teams," said Maye Walraven, chief impact officer at Innovafeed. "This improvement motivates us to continue transforming our industry and to demonstrate that new industrial models, both high-performing and sustainable, can deliver solutions for tomorrow."

The company said its production model is based on what it describes as a circular and fossil-free industrial symbiosis.
