Cosmopet has launched its dry food range in the United Arab Emirates, expanding beyond its treat offerings to provide complete nutrition options for dogs and cats. The international pet food company specializes in hypoallergenic formulas formulated with insect protein.
The full Cosmopet portfolio is now available at Petzone, the a specialized pet retailer in the UAE. Cosmopet currently has distribution across 44 supermarkets, more than 70 veterinary clinics and more than 70 specialized pet stores and pet services in the UAE. The company said it sold over 15,000 treats in the UAE in the past year.

The dog food line includes formulas for puppies and adult dogs across small, medium and large breeds. Dog food is available in 0.8-kilogram, 2-kilogram, 3.8-kilogram, 8.8-kilogram and 12-kilogram packages.
In the dry food formulas, 10% to 20% of the protein comes from insect protein, complemented by animal proteins such as duck. The company noted it produces its own insect protein derived from black soldier fly larva (Hermetia illucens) under quality control protocols.
