Montego Pet Nutrition has formed a distribution partnership with Rio Grande Service Center to expand availability of its KAROO Wild dog treats across the western U.S. The agreement extends the South African company's U.S. presence to Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and West Texas.

The company said this partnership represents the latest distribution milestone for Montego, which now has regional distributors covering more than 22 states for its KAROO Wild product line. The treats feature antelope as the primary protein source, positioning them as a novel protein option in the growing super-premium treat category.

"Rio Grande Service Center is proud to partner with Montego Pet Nutrition, a family-owned company whose dedication to quality and innovation mirrors our own," said Trent Green, CEO of Rio Grande Service Center. "We're especially excited to introduce their new Karoo Wild premium treats. Together, we're bringing pet parents a new level of nutrition and indulgence their companions truly deserve."

Available in three formats, KAROO Wild treats contain 20% protein and 5% fat, and are formulated without grain, gluten, artificial colors or artificial flavors. The antelope protein source addresses dogs with common protein sensitivities, including chicken allergies. Montego sources the antelope from meat trimmings, supporting sustainable farming practices and South Africa's game meat industry.

Montego Pet Nutrition was founded in 2000 by Hannes van Jaarsveld and remains family-operated. The company, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in June, currently exports to more than 20 countries from its South African manufacturing facilities.
