Icelandirect has acquired SOMA LABS, a New Jersey, U.S.-based supplement manufacturer specializing in solid dosage form production, the company announced March 17. The transaction closed in February 2026.
Icelandirect, a portfolio company of New Heritage Capital, said the acquisition expands its manufacturing capabilities across both the human nutrition and pet supplement markets.
"For years, we have been known as a leader in lipid and softgel supplement sourcing, formulation, manufacturing and packaging," said Brandon Miller, CEO of Icelandirect. "The acquisition of SOMA LABS will allow us to add powder, tablet, capsule and chewable capabilities, thus delivering a turnkey product offering to our clients.
"These new offerings allow us to take a brand from ingredient and formula all the way through to finished, shelf-ready product — in more formats, at greater scale, and with the quality standards our customers have come to expect from Icelandirect," Miller added.
In addition to its existing lipid and softgel manufacturing, Icelandirect said the acquisition adds four dosage form capabilities: custom powder blending and filling with flexible packaging formats; hard-shell capsule production supporting powders, beadlets and oils; compressed tablet production for human nutraceutical and wellness brands; and chewable tablets for both human and pet supplement markets.
SOMA LABS will operate as an integrated division of Icelandirect, with its New Jersey, U.S., facility remaining fully operational. Leadership and technical teams are integrating into the broader Icelandirect organization. Existing SOMA LABS customers will continue to receive service while gaining access to Icelandirect's expanded capabilities, the company said.
