Consumers Supply Distributing has launched Dr. Pol Clinical Nutrition, a line of veterinarian-formulated dog food designed to support dogs with specific nutritional needs without a prescription. The products will be available exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide and on Walmart.com beginning in March 2026.

The line features three formulas: weight management, food sensitivities and gastrointestinal care. According to the company, each is a complete and balanced diet meeting nutritional requirements established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance. Formulas incorporate multi-fiber blends and a proprietary six-strain probiotic.

"Over my 50 years as a vet, I've watched too many dog owners get priced out of doing what they feel is right for their animals," said Dr. Jan Pol. "Prescription dog food isn't medicine. It's nutrition — carefully selected ingredients formulated for specific needs. So I took those same proven ingredients and made them accessible in my Dr. Pol Clinical Nutrition Dog food without the high price tag or the barriers. I'm proud to be partnering with Walmart to challenge the status quo and bring practical, affordable clinical nutrition to the families who need it most."

The weight management formula, available in a salmon recipe, features reduced calorie content, a high-fiber formulation and high-quality protein sources to support lean muscle maintenance.

The food sensitivities formula is available in chicken, advanced salmon and plant-based recipes, with simplified ingredient lists and novel or alternative protein sources.

The gastrointestinal care formula, available in chicken and advanced beef recipes, includes balanced soluble and insoluble fiber blends and highly digestible grains such as rice, barley and oats.

Products will be available in 7- and 24-pound bags.
