India's pet ownership growth over the last couple of years has been nothing short of transformative, resulting in a universe of pet-related businesses that flourished throughout the country, foremost of which is pet food.

By virtue of its size — estimated at 1.47 billion population for 2025 — India has the numbers to help grow any industry which, in this case, involves around 31 million pet dogs and close to 5 million pet cats. The total a decade from now is estimated to be over 100 million pets.
