Thanks to a cooperation agreement with the Asociación de Veterinarios Españoles Especialistas en Pequeños Animales (AVEPA, or Association of Spanish Veterinarians Specialists in Small Animals) and the third Southern European Veterinary Conference, the 44th National AVEPA Congress will coincide with Mascota 2009 , according to a press release by Fira Barcelona .
The Asociación Nacional de Fabricantes de Alimentos para Animales de CompañÃa (ANFAAC, or National Association of Petfood Manufacturers) has also confirmed their cooperation with the show, which will mean the representation of the leading petfood brands. Over 80% of petfood manufacturers in Spain, a market that accounts for 67% of the sector's total turnover, belong to ANFAAC.
According to the director of ANFAAC, Santiago de Andrés, this agreement with the show's organizers will concentrate the entire supply of the animal food, grooming and health industry in a "benchmark show with major national and international repercussion."
