American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) will host a webinar on November 30 to discuss accident prevention plans in employee and product transportation.
The event will be held from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. It will go in-depth on issues covered in a transportation safety guidance document recently completed by AFIA's Equipment Manufacturers’ and Integrator Committees. Some of the topics addressed in this guidance document that will be covered at the webinar include: truck flushing, pre-trip inspection, safety symbols, and drug and alcohol policy. Among the presenters are Dr. Charles Stark, assistant professor and extension specialist of feed milling at North Carolina State University; Terry Medemblik, sales manager of Walinga Inc.; Jack Lyle, vice president and general manager of Warren Manufacturing Inc.; and Keith Epperson, AFIA vice president.
