Bil-Jac petfood creator Bill Kelly died at his home in Medina, Ohio, USA, at the age of 95. Kelly is the man whose research of pet nutrition led to his petfood brand's launch in 1947.
After the launch of the Bil-Jac brand, Kelly continue his research during his career, creating not onlly the Bil-Jac frozen dog food formula, but also lines of dry food and dog treats. He was also a founding member of the Pet Food Institute.
During his life, Kelly served on the boards for numerous nonprofit community organizations, including 39 years at Medina Hospital, where he helped create a foundation that granted numerous scholarships.
Kelly is survived by his three sons who remain in leadership positions at Bil-Jac, along with seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
