Pet food brand Bob Martin launched a range of products marketed as “nutritionally advanced food that provides dogs with all the essentials of a healthy diet,” reported Pet Business World. The new line of pet foods, called Simply +, now is available in Tesco, Morrisons and Ocado across the UK, and will soon be available in other retailers, too.
The range features Peak Vitality and Fresh Breath formulations, both including chicken and rice and both with a fat content of 8 percent. The flat-bottomed, standing 2 kilogram bags have features designed to make them easier to carry and a zip-lock re-sealable opening.
“On top of being an easy way to manage weight through the lean formulation, nutritional additives including omega 3 and 6, sources of prebiotic, glucosamine and chondroitin have a range of benefits,” said Georgina Martin, marketing director of Bob Martin, in a press release. “The Peak Vitality pack helps maintain joints and bones, aids digestions, improves oral care and keeps their skin and coat in great condition. The Fresh Breath formulation does all of that and promises to keep your dog’s breath fresh.”
Bob Martin is based in Yatton, Somerset, UK. The company was founded in 1892 by Bob Martin, who created vitamin supplements meant to improve dog coat condition. The company now produces pet food, medecine, grooming and hygiene products, along with vitamin supplements for pets.
Bob Martin has offices in UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and South Africa. The company is owned and run by the Martin family.
Pet owners want a lot from their pet food brands. They want primary proteins that suit what they believe is best for their animal. They want grains or they don't. They want something customized, but it has to be easy to understand.
Constraints and crises, like those experienced in 2020, help drive innovation and sustainability offers context.
