Soy uncommon in dog and cat foods

Despite the plant-based protein source appearing in numerous forms, including soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil and soy flour, soy is used in only 13 percent of dry dog food recipes in Petfood Industry’s Dog and Cat Food Ingredient Center database.
