Purina will introduce its new line of dog food, Chef Michael's Canine Creations , with a series of nationwide dinner parties on Aug. 16.

One thousand pet owners will be selected to host a "Sunday Supper" featuring Chef Michael's meals and a series of dog-themed activities.

In January, Ynsect was granted authorization by AAFCO to use defatted mealworm proteins in dog food.
