Fresh-Lock, a supplier of reclosable flexible packaging, has promoted Todd Meussling as director of business development and sustainability. This new position reflects the company’s focus on developing eco-friendly packaging solutions and fostering a circular economy.
“Todd has played a pivotal role in helping brands reduce their carbon footprint through innovative closure solutions,” said Lisa Petersmark, vice president of Presto Specialty, the company behind Fresh-Lock closures. “With this promotion, the Fresh-Lock team is poised to accelerate the commercialization of next-generation closure solutions that benefit both our customers and the planet.”
The company noted sustainability is a cornerstone of Fresh-Lock’s mission, highlighted by their 8000 Series closures, designed to promote circularity and reduce waste. Their efforts were recently recognized with a 2024 WorldStar Award for creating a sustainable, child-resistant package in collaboration with industry partners.
In his new role, Meussling will lead sustainability initiatives and work with suppliers and partners to develop more innovative packaging solutions. These efforts will expand Fresh-Lock’s eco-friendly portfolio, including advancements in home compostable closures, post-consumer recycled materials, and paper-based pouch closures.
